Musings of a teenage-teenager...
Whatchamacallit?
Hey, it's my life.

Brief Intro or Whatnot
This site was designed in March '04 to be my blog, or web log. (in other words, an online journal) I try to post every day, but I find that usually I can't. Currently, I am still trying to get the site even up and running. If you want to swap links with me, just ask. Chances are I will want to.

Substitute Fun...

This afternoon, we (my class) had a substitute teacher in reading class. Me and my best friend decided we would have a little fun with him...

  • Switch names -- a classic!
  • Lower the thermostat to oh... about 41 degrees
The thermostat thing-y we invented at the beginning of the year; every time we have a sub we do it, and see how long it takes until they crack.

This reminds me. One time in 5th. grade, me and a kid in my class knew we were going to have a sub, so we turned all the desks backwards. It was awesome! We were all facing the back wall, away from the blackboard, teacher, and overhead projector. The teacher had no idea what to do.

Yesterday in the same class, we had on the board "Relentless Killer" & "A Tale of Torment" to read. I walked in and found on my desk... Chicken Little. It took me a few minutes to realize that some other kid must have accidentally grabbed the wrong book on his way out from class.

Check back in tommorow because I actually plan to post in my blog 2 days in a row! Also, be happy because I just spent the last 15 minutes divising an Archive for my blog. Can't wait to fill up April!

D-NOW...

This past weekend, me and six of my friends went to the DNOW, or Disciple Now!, at our church. It was pretty awesome. We spent two nights at somebody's house, and a college guy we nicknamed "Kansas" taught us a Bible study thing. He was from etbu, and we had a pretty fun time. On Saturday we played a Survivor/Fear Factor game. My foolish comrades "voted me off the island" first round. No really. I am not that dorky. Anyways, they voted me off, but could have used me during the Bible trivia round, not to mention the spaghetti and marshmallow tower. We lost the game anyway. Overall, I learned a lot and made a new college friend. Thanks youth minister guy.

I am starting to actually get traffic from search engines, namely Google and AOLSearch. The funny thing is, several people have found this site by means of the German translation of Google. If this keeps up, I might put up a copy of this page translated into German.

My dog at your homework...

Monday, while my algebra teacher was passing out graded homework papers, she told us that her dog took a few bites into (ok, shredded) one of my classmate's homework. Worse yet, she couldn't remember the grade. Needless to say, the girl received a 100%. A little ironic, maybe, but true.

Sudden burst of traffic Sunday and Monday, beginning to wonder where it's coming from. I've received no traffic from The World of Stuff.

Yesterday I read in Newsweek Magazine that they had started filming A Series of Unfortunate Events. The movie will star Jim Carrey as Count Olaf, Emily Browning as Violet, and Liam Aiken as Klaus. I have read all the books , so needless to say, I will see it.

Track Meet...

This past Friday, my track team had their 2nd. meet. I run the 2400M., or for those of you who are "metrically challenged", 1 1/2 miles. I came in 10th. out of 12. Not very good at all. Of course, I hadn't ran that far in 3 weeks. Next week (I think) is our district meet, the one that counts. Sigh... better get running again.

So far this week, this site has received two visitors a day, since Wednesday. Today, though, there has only been one. Keep it up guys.

The other day, I stumbled upon This Link . It's a petition to get William Hung, from American Idol, to go to Hollywood. Check it out. Sign it. What do I care?

Jumping the Shark

Many of us remember the episode in the T.V. series Happy Days when Fonzie jumped the shark tank. Many of us also remember how episodes never were the same after. http://www.jumpingtheshark.com is a site that surveys average Americans like you and... never mind, for when we think a series "jumped the shark".

I was kind of upset when I looked up one of my favorite shows and found that most people say that it jumped before it started. I mean come on, doesn't anyone like Full House anymore?

Also, you may notice that this site has undergone some changes.

  1. Links turn a different color when you "mouseover" them
  2. The javascript countdown timer at the top of this site telling you how long until summer vacation.
Right now I am in the "tweaking phase" of this site. Just making small changes, expect more.

The End of Life as We Know It...

Well, with spring break over, the last stretch of school is here. It was a so-so spring break. (the surgery on Monday kind of ruined it) I really, really can't wait until summer. But, on the bright side, only 60 more school days left. Or is that the dark side?

My quest for total internet domination is thriving! Ok, Ok, so I only have one website that has a (working) link to me. Also, the friend whom I mentioned yesterday has finished his blog. I helped with the design a little. Also, notice that the link to my website is broken. I have already dropped him an E-mail. In other news, I have added a picture to the top of my website that tells you no animals were hurt in the making of this site. Now you can visit this site in peace.

Church Tonight...

Tonight at church we played a fun game called "4 On A Couch" It was one of those memory games for large groups. The ones that I usually do really bad at. Tonight I did pretty well, though. There wasn't many people there, so that made it somewhat easier. Of course, the boys didn't win a single game.

My youth minister wants me and my friend (blog under construction) to design a web page for the youth group. I'm all for it. I think it will be pretty fun.

First Entry

This is the first entry in my blog. I hope to make many more. I recently stumbled upon a link to a site the gives you a list of qoutes. Some of the qoutes are by George W. Bush, some were spoken by Chancellor, Senator, Emporer Palpatine from the Star Wars series. Since I have seen Star Wars like 1 million times, I did very well. How well can you do?

Today I went to the "game day" thingy at my church's youth hangout. Me and 4 other people. It was still fun though. I played foosball mainly. I can beat most anyone at the game. We also played Mario Kart: Double Dash with 4 players. Multiplayer madness doesn't get much better.
